Sound Insulation performanve of a glass fabric/PVC composite material

The traditional insulation materials are usually very heavy, has great influence on theworkability, the range of use. But the low damping capacity of lightweight thin material and low self weight (mass)make it very difficult to have a good sound insulation effect. Glass fiber fabric has good mechanical properties and flexibility;while because of its structure and transport in porous fabric retention of air. Glass fibers having a large specific gravity and acoustic propagation velocity, make its have good acoustic impedance. However, glass fiber fabric has a greater permeability, almost impossible to use it as a separate insulation material.
According to the propagation characteristics of sound waves, composites polyethylene resin with glass fiber fabric and polyethylene resin, with thin lightweight, flexible features, has agood sound insulation performance.
