Abstract : This article introduces the working process of enacting the industry standard for silicone rubber coated glass fiber cloths
and presents the main technical points and features of the standard.

Description of the main technical content standards

Thickness of glass fiber products are many factors that the test results, the current standard test method of glass fiber thickness of two, one is GB7689.1-2001, using the pressure foot diameter of 56.43mm, pressure heavy weights as 500cN, test time to 30s. The other is JC / T 170-2002 Appendix A, the provisions of the presser foot diameter of 16mm, heavy weight pressure to 2kg, test time 2 ~ 3s, we have two sizes of silicone rubber cloth side comparison test, were 1 , 385mm / 1,434 mm and 1.265mm/1.331mm, quite different. Taking into account the habits of users for many years, we have adopted a JC / T 170-2002 test method specified in Appendix A, this method with the JC / T 176 "Test Method of glass fiber products," consistent.

As silicone rubber cloth is quite widely used, glass fiber fabric and  a wide range of silicone rubber, coating volume varied widely, the amount of different uses of the coating is not the same requirements, taking into account the interests of both supply and demand, the provisions of this part of the unit area of not less than the actual value the quality of the supplier's nominal value.
